Miami's community chorus presents J.S. Bach's baroque masterpiece, the Mass in B Minor. The work features a sublime sequence of choral movements, vocal and instrumental solos and duets, and soaring orchestral accompaniment. Collegium is conducted by Dr. Don Oglesby and accompanied by a 16-piece orchestra. Performance will last approx. 2 hours.

One of the most profound spiritual testaments ever composed, Johann Sebastian Bach’s Mass in B minor is the summation of a lifetime of creating music. It is regarded as the culmination of his musical works and one of the most important masterpieces in the entire history of music.
Thanks to the generous donation of a former member of the Miami Collegium Musicum, we are able to present this work with the support of the University of Miami, including instrumental musicians, inspiring listeners to patient expectation and hope.
