Miami Light Project Technical Fellowship Program: Camera and Lighting

Kick off the program with learning the basics of camera operation, visual composition, and how to light effectively for video and photo.

What You’ll Learn:
  • Introduction to video projectors and their capabilities
  • Basic setup and configuration for projection design
  • How to use projection to enhance live performance
  • Creative strategies for combining technology with storytelling

The Technical Fellowship Program’s intensive training includes:
  • Workshops focusing on Intro to Lighting, Audio, Video, Stage Management, Light Board, Finance and more.
  • 40 hours of job training – hands-on, one-on-one observation and mentorship, gaining real-time, on-the-job experience backstage during live events.
  • Paid internship – available for those who complete the 40 hours of job training and workshops.
  • Employment opportunities.

Teens and young adults ages 13-22 can buy tickets for $5 using the Get Tickets button below. With the purchase of one $5 ticket for someone within the age range, a second $5 ticket can be purchased for an individual of any age to join them.
