Join Hued Songs at Little Haiti Cultural Center for Spirituals & Òrìṣàs: Migration Through Song. Featuring a cast of vocalists, dancers, and musicians, this program will highlight the intersection of African-American spirituals and Òrìṣàs of the Yoruba culture, exploring ancestral memory and the migration of black culture and traditions, through African American spirituals and Òrìṣàs of the Yoruban culture This performance is made possible with the support of the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners, The Knight Foundation, Mangrove Creative Collective, & The Little Haiti Cultural Complex. A Wonderful World Presented by Miami New Drama

A world-premiere musical about jazz legend and singular American icon Louis Armstrong, with songs recorded and made popular by Armstrong, and original book by Aurin Squire, the multi-talented Opalocka-raised playwright and TV writer (This is Us, The Good Fight), and co-author of last season’s hit Confessions of a Cocaine Cowboy.) A Wonderful World, traces Armstrong’s odyssey, the musical genre he helped define, and the complex history of race in America, from the birth of jazz in Armstrong’s native New Orleans to international stardom and the Civil Rights era.

FEOS by Teatro y Su Doble Presented by FUNDarte

FUNDarte’s NO BORDERS series presents FEOS, a theater piece written by acclaimed Chilean playwright Guillermo Calderón, directed by Aline Kuppenheim and inspired by the story “La Noche de los Feos” by Mario Benedetti, “Feos” is a visual feast of Bunraku-style puppetry. Incorporating stop motion projections, puppeteering of the highest caliber and a story that challenges audiences to look at their own faults with honesty and acceptance, the production is a unique work of beauty.

The Cubans Presented by Miami New Drama

Our mission of developing and presenting new work by Miami artists continues with the debut of the first play by Cuban-American playwright and actor Michael Leon. The Cubans turns the classic American family drama into a quintessential Miami story – a poignant, humorous exploration of the fraught generational dynamics and struggle for identity in a Cuban-American family.
