Live Arts Miami is pleased to introduce Oil Ancestors: Metaphysical Hotline, a one-of-a-kind, immersive telephone theater experience designed for an audience of one, by Miami-based interdisciplinary artist and LALA artist in residence, Fereshteh Toosi. Metaphysical Hotline seeks curious, open-minded volunteer participants for a research study about power and responsibility in an era of rapid global change. Our intimate telephone consultations require your active participation and undivided attention. Your efforts will support ongoing research about at-home ancestral transmissions. It’s a Cinderella Story– like you’ve never seen it before! Miami New Drama (MiND) ​is a theater company committed to artistic excellence and groundbreaking work with a vision of theatre as a powerful vehicle for social change and transformative educational experiences for youth. In Spring they are launching their first training program for teenagers MiND Theater Workshop an educative experience designed in collaboration with Limitless Health. Project activities will include courses focused on writing, voice, movement, & acting. Participants will benefit from training in performance and creation to reflect and respond to important issues in their daily lives and develop empathy and tools for artistic expression within their own community and space. They will culminate in a presentation of their own production in an open space to the public. So if you are interested in acting, dancing, writing, and developing your creativity to the fullest this program is for you.
