Over the past 23 years one of the most acclaimed ballet festival in the world, the spectacular International Ballet Festival of Miami, has been a Summer highlight event in South Florida, inviting the most renowned national and international ballet companies represented by their greatest stars, Austria, England, France, Italy Germany, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, the United States and more with many making their USA debut in Miami. Considered the most important in the USA, a South Florida "must see" event, and a true testament to its enduring level of artistic quality.

Ballet Flamenco La Rosa (BFLR), an international flamenco dance company based in Miami, brings the sizzle this summer with the premiere of its latest Flamenco performance Fuerza Flamenca. Made up of dancers and musicians from Spain, Latin America and the U.S., the performance will take place on Saturday, June 22nd at 8 p.m. will be the presentation of Fuerza Flamenca at the North Beach Bandshell.

Alma Flamenca will bring you up close and personal, mesmerizing audiences with a new pure Flamenco music and dance production exploring the depth and breadth of the art form, with a range of rhythms and styles that are dramatic, soulful, joyous, sensual and passionate all at once. With the exquisite music, exhilarating footwork, and the elegant grace and beauty that has made Flamenco so loved by audiences throughout the world.

CCBM presents "Giselle" Act II, one of the jewels of the 19th Century Classical Ballet featuring Cuban Prima Ballerina Lorena Feijoo, next to Principal Dancers Arionel Vargas and Marize Fumero the program includes new works "Yerma" based on Federico Garcia Lorca's play and "Bolero Suite"

The Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Coral Gables presents the "Around The World" Showcase! Join the Fred Astaire Dance Studio on a tour of the world through dance performances by staff, students, and world cabaret champions Mikaylo and Tanya Azarov. The "Around The World" Showcase will take you on a journey featuring music and choreography inspired by Spain, Ireland, Cuba, Argentina, and more!

The Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami (CCBM), Artistic Director, Eriberto Jimenez, is gearing up for an exciting 2019 Season presenting a preview of upcoming works in their Miami Beach annual Performance at the Fillmore Miami Beach Jackie Gleason Theater Black Box Room, on Thursday, April 18 at 8:00 pm. CCBM will present new original choreographies by artistic director Eriberto Jimenez; “Yerma” based on the play by renowned Spaniard writer Federico Garcia Lorca, that tells the story of a childless woman living in rural Spain, her desperate desire for motherhood becomes an obsession that eventually drives her to commit a horrific crime, performed to life music by Guitarists Alberto Puerto and Ivet Riscart. “Bolero Suite” remembering the golden age of this musical genre, known for its lyrical allusions of life, love, tragedy and passion. The program will also include “Lecuona Suite”, and other works.

A quartet originally developed to be a part of Make Believe, Carne Viva is an exploration into the violence of transcendence. Loosely translated to mean “open wound” Carne Viva builds upon the themes of religion and romance for a work that is much sparser and physical than Herrera’s previous work.

Brutal and elegant, Carne Viva is a visceral journey into the dichotomy of power within relationships.
